Review: Hunt’s tree service has been a life saver for our family. We moved into a house surrounded by huge trees which was great at first then they started dying and falling. Adam and Buddy have been so helpful in transforming our yard and cutting the trees that threaten our home. They have communicated with us and showed up in a timely manner to help. Recently we had a horrible storm causing a small tree to fall on the house and they rushed to help. I recommend using this the service to everyone. They are extremely reasonable which is always a plus.

Review: Perry and his crew has been doing our tree cutting since 2005. They just did another job yesterday at our lake house and did another tremendous job. We wouldn’t use anyone else. They are hard working in which in this day and time you do not find that quality. Their pricing is very reasonable too. They also went to SC last year for a client of ours to cut trees and limbs after the hurricane because nobody in the area would go for our client so they called us to see if we knew anyone and we called Perry and they went and got the work completed and we had a very satisfied customer. We appreciate you all!!

Review: They are awesome! They came out during the ice storm on 2-13 and partially removed this tree from my roof. They'll be back to remove the rest when the yard gets drier. They were the first business I called because they had worked for me previously, I was pleased with their work. They were willing to help me even though the conditions were dangerous; they warned me they may not be able to do anything. Other companies had me on a wait list and didn't want to come out.

Review: Very reasonable and professional. The crew did a fantastic job. Amazing watching their talent as they brought down three large trees with one of them extending over the house. When they left, they cleaned up as if I would have done it myself. Very happy with the results!

Review: Five Star all around. Great company, very professional, detail oriented and they try to please the customer. I like the way they do business. I don't think you will be disappointed if you choose them to work for you. They took down two very old hollow white oaks, probably close to if not older than 200 years, and two younger trees. They did a remarkable job in close quarters. I'm very happy I chose them and their prices are competitive with the other estimates I received. Their grandfather was doing some work close to me back in the 1970s. He approached me then and said he would love to work with me when my old trees needed help and they would need help in a few years. 40 years later I used the company working with his son and grandson. All nice folks.

Tree Removal FAQs

Can I cut down a tree by myself?

It is not always safe to cut down a tree yourself, and only a few situations allow you to cut a tree. For example, you can cut a tree if it is not so long and doesn't require a ladder to climb. Moreover, you can also cut a tree that is easygoing and breaks easily without hurting you.

How do you calculate the cost of cutting down a tree?

Tree Removal Cost per Foot For small trees up to 30 feet tall, the removal cost will be $150 to $400. The next size is the medium tree, which is about 30-60 feet and costs $450-$700. If a tree is taller than 60 feet but less than100, it will cost you $900-$1200 to remove.

What time of year is cheapest for tree removal?

The coldest months—specifically February or March—are actually the best and, overall, the cheapest time to remove trees. Winter tends to bring outdoor projects to a screeching halt, but tree removal plays by a different set of rules.

Can removing a tree cause foundation problems?

When trees have died or have been removed, the roots that remain under or near a foundation can create problems. As the root system begins to rot and decay, air spaces and gaps occur in the soil to replace the roots. This results in a soil that can shift to fill the void.

Should I remove the tree next to my house?

If it looks like it's dying or near the end of its life already, consider removing it soon. If it is dangerously leaning over your home and causes you to worry with every storm, take it out and know that some settlement may occur. If it is ugly and you hate it and it's causing too many problems, take it out.
