Review: Charleston Tree Company is my favorite contractor in all of Charleston. We have used them 2 times at 2 separate houses now, and I cannot recommend them enough. I think they do a lot of very large jobs (like 50+ trees at a time), which is not what we hired them for, but they do such a fantastic job I would never look anywhere else for tree work. You do have to wait a bit to get onto their schedule if you are doing a smaller job, but it's absolutely worth the wait. Carter, Will, Mary and the whole crew are awesome. The crew has always left our yard in better condition than when they arrived. It feels like they take care of my home as if it were theirs. Their prices are super competitive, too. I wish they did more work so I could hire them more often.Services: Tree stump grinding, Tree trimming & pruning, Tree removal

Review: I have been shopping around for the right tree company for some time. I have used a number of companies in this town over the years. Since 2016, I have had one particular large tree that I have had various individuals and companies "price out"...and the prices have varied wildly as have the levels of responsiveness to simple communication. It seems anyone with a chainsaw can appear to have a company. It has made it difficult to make the decision to move forward. Finally we were introduced to Charleston Tree Co. from a couple of sources, and from the prompt first visit and the quick estimate that, finally, was reasonable and fair, we have had an excellent experience. The partners are long time locals and are good people with a strong work ethic.Due to the frequent rains in early 2020, there was a delay in service, but their office staff stayed in contact without prompting. Then, when the scheduled day arrived, they were on time (actually early) and they conducted the work with military-like precision and a full team and they included all of the equipment and trucks they needed to get the job done quickly and efficiently. They not only took down the tree, including grinding the large stump, but they also did the other work that was promised. The greatest bonus (and the biggest impression they made on us) was the way that they handled the tree limbs and tree parts throughout the day, running them through their own chipper as well as depositing the large pieces into their dump truck, both which stayed on site all day....and then at the end, they blew and raked our yard and driveway, both of which were left in better condition that when they arrived. We were extremely pleased and have already recommended them to our neighbors, who also observed how well they did their job.

Review: Our experience with Charleston Tree Company was fantastic from beginning to end. We needed a huge elm in our backyard to be removed, and knew from another consulation that it would be a difficult job. From the very start, Carter was responsive with his consultation, his estimate of services (far anf away the best we received), and along with Mary in their office, pushed through the administrative morass of paperwork to get a permit from the city for the removal. His crew was punctual, careful beyond my wildest hopes (they managed the removal down to a very low stump in a tight backyard space without almost any plant damage at all!), and hardworking. Their clean up was so good and furniture so well replaced that you would never know any job had been done there at all. They have my highest recommendation and we will absolutely use them for any tree work we need in the future. Do yourself a favor and use their services!Service: Tree removal

Review: I have worked with Charleston Tree Company on several different projects over the past few years. Carter and his crew always take their time to advise on proper tree care and techniques and perform all work in a professional manner. They leave each site cleaner and better than it was when they started. I would highly recommend them and they will always be my first call in the future.
